A Simple Way to Fix a Slice
posted in Uncategorized |In this fantastic world of golf, many golfers have a fade that they really want to remedy . But there are ways you can fix a slice, and how to correct a slice is actually what we will talk about in this article here. We have put together a method that includes just a few steps and you can work on it next time you go to the driving range.
First of all you should know that there are several parts of the swing that can drive you to slice your shots. Some of them are: swinging too fast, letting your palm off of the grip in the backswing, swinging off plane, taking the club away too rapidly, and not fully rotating your wrists through the ball.
In this perticular article we will talk about ”swinging to far outside” which is the most common, without a doubt, fault and reason for the slice. Here is what you need to do to remedy a slice.
1. Go to the driving range .
2. While hitting, you put an extra golf ball about 12 inches behind the ball your hitting and 1 inch closer to you. As you swing, try and knock that ball out of the way.
3. Get a pool noodle and put an old shaft through it. Then set it up so that it is behind you but crosses your neck. Then as you swing try to not hit the noodle. If you do, its okay it won’t damage your club.
Practice those and practice them often and you should be on your way to be hitting straighter, longer, and more happy with your swing.
There are of course other ways to repair a slice but that will be another article I guess. I can’t give away all my tips and tricks at once now can I? If you are looking for other ways now on the fly then I know of an Improve Golf Game website you can visit by clicking on that link.
