A normal golfer normally spends a good deal of money on a good set of clubs, with no guarantee that it will improve his or her game. Competition with branded golf manufacturers is fierce and if there is a new design or feature that has tractions, almost everyone will jump on it.

Golf club clones are a great investment for those new to the sport. It is also a worthwhile option for an experienced player who wants to try out a new design in a club. Golf club clones can be some of the best performing golf equipment you will ever play with. Just because a set of golf clubs are expensive doesn’t mean that they are better.

Many golfers place an undue importance to brand names. Unless the club is custom fitted to the player, that top brand club will do nothing for your game. Furthermore, many don’t realize that the same materials go into clone clubs that go into the to brand names, but because clone manufactures do not advertise, you save buying factory direct. The grips, head and shafts are bought from the same or similar factory sources as the big rand names buy from and are engineered almost identically to the top brand names.

The quality of a golf clone is equal or better than brand name clubs. They deliver great value and the quality and use the same design principles, materials shafts and grips as the top brand names and they perform as well if not better. The only caveat is to buy your club from a proven leader in the field, one who has been successful and around for a number of years. Remember, by buying clone irons or other clone clubs you get the same pro-quality type equipment at a discount that can’t be beat.

Many individuals in America, both young and old love playing golf. Lots of families tend to make their visit to the golf course a fun filled, important event in their day-to-day plans. But this can be a problem especially when you are stuck with work and realize that you are unable to take your family out for their weekend golf match. Wouldn’t it be great if you had a mini golf course somewhere near your house? This would save the trouble of you having to leave all the work and come running to play golf.

What seemed unachievable can really be done with a little help from your kids. Why not turn your backyard into a mini golf course and get a hold of some mini golf supplies to go with it? Children love action and if you want to create a mini golf course, their help will surely be given with no questions asked.

Keep in mind that a mini golf course and the mini golf supplies that are stated here do not refer to the real things. These are intended to give your kids a fun filled time. Finding mini golf supplies that include inexpensive clubs that are made out of plastic can be purchased from toy stores.

If your backyard is leveled, it is all the better. Once the mini golf supplies are all set, the next thing to do would be to create holes in the already leveled ground. Stick small flowerpots up to the brim. These can act as the holes.

The next big step would be to get the flags ready. These are needed apart from the mini golf supplies. Be creative by using colored plastic sheets or felt cloth. Attach them to sticks and make them stand on the ground.

Next is to create the hurdles in this mini golf course. If it’s a tunnel you’d like to create, grab a pipe for this. Using water buckets or digging water containers into the ground can easily create water areas. Kids will love a mini golf course that is full of creativity.

How often have you been frustratingly near to sinking an important putt just to come up short?

Or maybe you have simply just missed the pin to view your ball go sailing past having an excessive amount of distance for the next putt.

A lot of golf games tend to be lost on the putting green and more often than not it is often because of the inaccurate length, rather than the path of the golf ball.

The majority of rookies swiftly find a feel for the direction the golf ball will probably travel, even on sloping greens.

You’ve likely witnessed it yourself whenever a novice to the golf game places the golf ball within just inches from the hole on a sloping green time and time again.

What you will likely not witness quite so frequently will be the ball stopping a few inches past the golf hole after they miss.

There are lots of components that come into consideration while figuring out the distance a ball might travel on the green, from the slope, with preparation of the golf green as well as whether or not this is wet and slow or dry and fast.

It can have a big difference with respect to the time of the day with greens getting quicker while they dry off in the afternoon sun.

So reading the distance of the putt is actually precisely what you should pay attention to to get your golf ball to drop in that hole.

Again all this comes back again to practice and there is simply no more effective practice than on the day for the tournament with the conditions that you’ll be playing in.

Always make an effort to have some practice putts before you start play in order to ‘dial in’ your distance.

One thing you must make sure you understand; the golf ball will not fall if it doesn’t reach the hole.

Sounds very clear to even require talking about doesn’t it, but more often that not putts will certainly come up short.

At all times aim for the rear of the cup so that, as long as you’ve got your path correct, you are going to have a possibility of sinking the putt.

Learn the step by step golfing technique formula for mastering the art of putting and easily cut 9 to 11 strokes off your very next round of golf by visiting this site:Golf Putting Instruction and visit golf products for your equipment.

An idea as old as dirt and that certainly applies to golfing is “Mind Over Matter”. As in any effort , good mental preparation is required to playing well , and it is an easy thing to do. Having good golf clubs is not enough, good mental training is also required.

It is a well known fact that entering any task with doubts is almost guaranteed to produce negative results . So, it is important to be mindful early that you can play good golf. We are not all created with equal physical skills but that is not the greatest factor in our game. You have seen many pros who played well and won tournaments with skills that were far from perfect. They were able to do it because they believed in themselves and whatever talent they had.

Let us assume that you have armed yourself with at least the basics, name brand clubs or discount golf clubs, good grip, decent swing, etc. You strike the ball well and have a grasp of how to hit the ball where you want it to go. You do not have to be perfect, only a few will have outstanding golf skills. Now it is a matter of putting what you have into practice and using it consistently.

It is easy to get discouraged because you can not hit the ball like a pro with your driver. We all want to be able to do that, but it just may never happen. So, we hit our 175 to 200 yard tee shot in the fairway, play our second shot well and near the green, chip on and putt out. That’s very acceptable! It’s a par!

We do not have to be John Daly to play the game well and get a lot of enjoyment from it. Just use the skills that you have, take what the course will give you, know you can par any hole, and you will succeed.

The wedge shot is a potent short game weapon, maybe the most potent . Players with high handicaps hit wedge shots from the rough, a trap, or just behind the cart path. While players with low golf handicaps hit them in the fairway with a full swing , because they do the necessary things to get there.

Low handicap golfers all have the same key elements in their wedge play . Below are descriptions of those key steps.

1. Be Sure Your Stance Is Open

Good wedge players keep the lower body quiet . You don’t need a lot of power to hit a wedge and you don’t need a lot of lower body involvement . But you can’t hit a sound wedge shot without opening your hips. The open stance allows you to use your arms and shoulders to hit the shot without requiring the help of your lower body.

2. Allow the Wrists to Hinge

Poor players try sweeping, scooping, or lifting the ball in the air with a wedge . Good players hit down and through, creating a divot. One of the secrets to hitting down is wrist hinge. If you don’t hinge your wrists, you’ll sweep the ball of the floor . Hinge early in the backswing. Start your wrist bend in the start of take away. If you wait until the backswing mid-point , you may never hinge.

3.	Adjust the Distance of Your Backswing

Tempo is a constant in golf . Backswing length isn’t. Never add speed or stop short to control the distance of a shot. The length of the backswing , not the speed of the swing, determines shot distances with your wedges–actually with any of your golf clubs. Learn how far you hit each wedge with 25, 50, 75, and 100 percent backswing lengths. Since the full-swing wedge shot we’re talking about could be 36, 42, or 53 yards away, you’ll now have options with which to hit the shot. Remember adjust your backswing, not your tempo.

4. Hold the Front Shoulder Position

Poor wedge players often lift their heads when approaching the ball. While that in itself isn’t a major crime, it forces you to bring your front shoulder up and out. That is. It’s a fault I emphasize in my golf lessons and golf tips. Work on allowing your head to rotate along with your back shoulder as it swings underneath your chin. Rotating facilitates the shifting of weight to the front side, keeps the spine angle intact, and allows the back shoulder to move toward the target.

5. Always Finish In A Low Position

Keep your hands low after impact on a full-swing wedge shot, almost as if you were about to shake hands with someone to the side of you. Why? One sign of a solid wedge shot is low hands after impact, which indicates hitting down and through. Finishing high tends to negate weight shift and hinders your ability to hit down and through the ball. So keep it low after impact and you’ll approve the result.

6. Adopt a Pose

A good swing and a good finish usually go hand in hand . Take a few practice swings not with the focus on mechanics but on making a good finish. So take some practice swings and finish by posing for the camera before hitting a wedge shot. Think finish first in this situation. It can help generate a smooth swing and a better result.

Assuming you have the correct golf equipment, adopting these key elements will lower your handicap.

Golf irons get old and obsolete and must be replaced after continued use. Maybe you’ve outgrown them or there useful live is history. While purchasing new ones there are four important specifications to consider to be sure to get the most appropriate clubs for your game.

1. Style of Clubhead
The clubhead style can make a big difference in how well you hit the golf ball. There are two main types of clubhead styles, cavity back perimeter weighted and traditional blades. Perimeter weighted golf irons are more forgiving . The thing you sacrifice for this forgiveness is the ability to work the ball left and right with as much ease as the blade style . Most mid to high handicappers use this style of clubhead, although you do see them in some pros bags.

Forged style blades usually have a very small clubhead and a much smaller sweet spot. The advantage is that you can hit any shot with a blade style club . When you hit it dead center in the sweet spot you barely feel it . It’s a great feeling. Low handicappers and pros usually use this style of club .

2. Shaft Material
This is usually a very easy decision. The two main choices are steel or graphite. There are some other exotic metals and nano fibers available but we are only dealing with the two most popular shafts . Graphite shafts have a slightly softer feel which is great for a golfer with bad wrists or elbows because they offset the vibration that is sent up the shaft to your arms. Steel shafts give more feedback on how well you struck the shot and are very durable .

3. Flex of the Shaft
Shafts come in 4 basic flexes, regular, stiff, senior and lady. Your pro shop can calculate your swing speed and suggest the correct flex . The flex that is right for you will be so for steel or graphite material. Having the proper flex shafts is most important to your game.

4. What kind of grip
Most overlooked are the golf grips. There are many different types of material and sizes that can be installed. Some grips use space age polymers to give the grip a soft feel. Other grips are coarse with woven cord material throughout. Jumbo size grips are good for people with larger hands or arthritis. Keep these four points in mind when choosing your new golf clubs. Getting the correct golf equipment will help you shoot lower scores and increase your enjoyment.

No matter if you have played for years or have just starting off, one would round out their education about golf gear by reviewing all that the Callaway brand manufactures offers.

The Callaway brand is world class in its quality and they are one of the top brand names that cater to the needs of the golfing industry.

You may have top quality golf equipmentand the best coach money can buy , but it wont help you a damn if you do not have the proper mindset. There are lots of famous quotes about golf being a game that is 90% played between the ears . Your mind is the most powerful tool you have , use it in the right way and you can move mountains .

You need to be clear that if you have not got the correct mental attitude you will not achieve your goals . We all have days when our golf game is great and then the next time we go out our game can turn around and be dreadful . So why is golf such a mental game?

Your mind is such a complicated piece of equipment , we have only two ways of thinking:

We get Inspiration and act on it

We rely on the memories that are replaying in our mind of when we were in a similar site. This is the reason why you can sometimes hit the same poor shot on a certain hole.

The subconscious mind is an incredible piece of technology , it stores everything we do as memories. The only drawback with this is the subconscious mind cannot separate between good and bad memories. The vast majority of people go through their lives using these memories that are replaying in their mind. This is why people develop a lot of habits and are unable to break them .

So how can we re-program our mind in order to act more on inspiration and only rely on the good memories we have stored?

There are loads of ways you can use to try and reprogram your mind. The biggest problem is that the majority of people are just so cynical about doing things differently . I candidly believe that you should try these things with an open mind presuming they will make a difference.

Visualisation is a fun tool to use , anybody can do this – we all have dreams . When you are going to take a shot just picture in your mind you making the perfect golf swing and see the ball fly into the distance and land exactly where you aimed it. Feels great doesn’t it. Be sure to use this technique for all your shots , including putting.

Never be negative on the golf course. As soon as you say something negative you are putting this thought into your mind. You must realise how powerful the mind is – if I say to you “don’t think about a big blue flying pig ” I bet you have that image right now in your mind? You must be positive on the golf course, always imagine and state that you are going to make a great shot.

Reign in your emotions on the course. If you see players throwing clubs around you can practically guarantee that their next shot will probably be a poor one .

One other area that is being used more and more for mind training is NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming). NLP is the modern science of the mind it uses physiology and the unconscious mind to adapt thought processes which means that negative habits and behaviour can be changed into positive ones . These are recordings that will put you into a light trance and then make suggestions to your subconcious mind. Sounds strange but I have tested them and have never felt so relaxed. Keep an open mind and try it out .

So these are a few ideas for you to think about . To put it simply – in golf as it is in life – if you can’t imagine it you will never accomplish it!

Hitting your pitch shots in golf can be difficult if you don’t know your doing it wrong. You may hit the ball okay, good, great, or either thin. You want to improve your swing and contact with the ball without hitting the ball to thin. So you need to practice certain drills. Lets get started!

Get 6 tees and place them on the ground, about 2 clubhead widths between each tee. set your ball on the second, forth, and sixth tee. Swing your club just like you would any other pitch shot, on the first tee. You want to try and knock your tee out of the ground. Your swing will be the same throughout the forth and sixth pitch. Your pitch shots in golf will get better if you practice doing this I know it doesn’t sound like it would help, but I have done it, and it works.

Why is this important? This gets you in a habit to swing down when pitching the ball. This will prevent you from hitting up and catching the shot thin. You want to fight the target side of your ball into the grass. You will make better contact with the ball when pitching.

You can also practice your pitch shots with your right heal raised off the ground. The majority of your weight will be on your left foot. You will be positioned forward and it will convey a downward move, hitting the ball in front of it, and not behind it.

If you want to learn more about pitch shots in golf, or if you want to understand more about being a better golf player, Click Here!
